Many weeks ago, I opened the mail and there it was. The light green covered booklet that I use almost every day!!! When you look at the directory, many people think it is the same as last year BUT GUESS AGAIN!!! As I open the Emanuel Synagogue Directory, I remember all the hours over many months of phone calls, late nights, working on coordinating the ads from businesses, checking on personal ads, checking on anniversary dates, checking on birthdates, checking on the membership lists, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, updating the board members and committees, adding new holiday dates, collecting articles from staff and faculty. Then comes designing each page, proofing, printing and mailing!! WHO COORDINATES AND PRODUCES ALL THIS WORK? Who is this WONDER WOMAN?
The next time you see our wonderful President of Emanuel Synagogue, PLEASE THANK DEBRA WOLRAICH FOR HER INCREDIBLE DEDICATION TO SISTERHOOD AND THE SYNAGOGUE. We also thank DR. MARK for all his support!!!
We all had a wonderful Hanukkah and busy December. A big Thank You to BRENDA HOOPER AND THE THREE L’S …LAURA LEVINE, LISA SLATER AND LOIS PENDERGRAFT for lots of latkes!!! Thank you to all the event “helpers,” the “songsters” from ICSS and JEAN ROUTMAN who created an Anniversary Leagram for the MUHLBERGS. The generous gifts of gelt to the Money Menorah Tree made the luncheon even more special. We thank SHIRLEY SHANKER for planting its roots!!! We appreciate everyone’s donations toward kitchen supplies.
