Emanuel Synagogue

Emanuel Synagogue is fortunate to have a strong and committed member base, and we rely on membership dues for a large portion of our support.

Membership in the synagogue offers a number of advantages, including:

(bullet)   Reserved seating for High Holy Day services

(bullet)   The chance to participate in the synagogue's organizations, such as the Sisterhood, Men's Club, and youth groups, and the many social events and other activities they sponsor

(bullet)   For eligible members and their children, generous educational assistance through the Bloom Fund

(bullet)   Participation in decision-making about the synagogue's direction

(bullet)   The satisfaction of doing your part to maintain Conservative Judaism in the Oklahoma City region

Members also receive our monthly Bulletin and EmanuMail, a weekly e-mail newsletter covering news and events at the synagogue (to sign up, see the Calendar page).

If you're interested in participating in the Emanuel community, we urge you to become a member. To make it easy, we have a program in which current members act as sponsors and mentors for new members, introducing them and helping them learn the ropes. Dues are relatively modest and are assessed on a sliding-scale Fair Share plan based on household income. The form is easy to fill out, and payment arrangements are flexible. The synagogue office staff will be glad to give you more details and answer any questions you may have.
