Emanuel Synagogue is fortunate to have a unique and wonderful resource: The Annie and Isaac Bloom Endowment Fund offers generous scholarships to our children for Judaic-based education. The scholarships are not need based and are available for many different types of Jewish instruction, including:

  (bullet)   Emanuel Hebrew school

  (bullet)   Emanuel Sunday School

  (bullet)   Numerous Jewish camps

  (bullet)   Synagogue youth activities

  (bullet)   Higher education courses

  (bullet)   Rabbinical education

  (bullet)   Cantorial training

Who was Esther Bloom?
The Bloom family have been generous and supportive members of Emanuel Synagogue since 1910. The Bloom Fund was created in 1997 by a bequest from Esther Bloom, of blessed memory, who named it in honor of her parents. To read more about Esther and the Bloom family, click here.

 
 
Applying for a Scholarship

To be eligible for a Bloom Fund scholarship, you must be:


  1 The child of a member of Emanuel Synagogue.
This member must be in good standing for at least
two years prior to your scholarship application.
  2 No older than 29 years of age.

All applications are subject to approval by the Scholarship Committee.
Approval is based on guidelines adopted by the Board of the Fund.

Applications are available on request. You may call the Synagogue office at (405) 528-2113 and ask them to mail you one, or stop by and pick one up during normal business hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday). Applications are also available through the Religious Education office.
